Parallel Drivers
PARALLEL KEY INSTALLATION
To install the parallel smartkey driver please follow these steps:
| • | You can attach the parallel key or not in the parallel port, this don't affect the behaviour of driver installation |
| • | Log your system as Administrator |
| • | Locate and open the <smartkey> folder in the installation CD |
| • | Launch the <sdi.exe> application |
| • | Select the tab named "Parallela" |
| • | Press the <Installa> button. |
| • | The SDI application should reply "Successo" |
PARALLEL KEY DISINSTALLATION
To uninstall the parallel smartkey driver please follow these steps:
| • | Log your system as Administrator |
| • | Locate and open the <smartkey> folder in the installation CD |
| • | Launch the <sdi.exe> application |
| • | Select the tab named "Parallela" |
| • | Press the <Disinstalla> button. |
| • | The SDI application should reply "Successo" |
USB Drivers
IMPORTANT : DISCONNECT YOUR PC FROM THE NETWORK BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE INSTALLATION OF ANY USB KEY. SOME Windows(TM) VERSIONS SEARCH FOR AN UPDATED DRIVER USING INTERNET RESOURCES. THIS COULD CAUSE VERY LONG TIME FOR INSTALLING. IF POSSIBLE DISCONNECT YOUR ETHERNET/NETWORK CABLE FROM THE PC DIRECTLY ( BEST SOLUTION ). MOREOVER THIS KIND OF DRIVER ISN'T PRESENT AS SHARED RESOURCE IN THE NETWORK AND ANY SEARCH GIVES NO RESULTS
USB KEY INSTALLATION
To install the USB smartkey driver please follow these steps:
| • | IMPORTANT! DO NOT INSERT THE USB SMARTKEY INTO YOUR USB PORT BEFORE INSTALLING DRIVERS |
| • | If you already have placed the USB smartkey into the USB port, abort the Windows Installation Wizard and remove the USB key |
| • | Log your system as Administrator |
| • | Locate and open the <smartkey> folder in the installation CD |
| • | Launch the <sdi.exe> application |
| • | Select the tab named "Usb" |
| • | Press the <Installa> button. |
| • | The SDI application reply with "E' necessario inserire il token per completare l'operazione" |
| • | Close the message dialog with <OK> |
| • | NOW INSERT THE USB KEY INTO A USB PORT OR HUB |
| • | Windows automatically will launch the Installation Wizard |
| • | In the Wizard Dialog Select "automatic software installation (Suggested Option)" and proceed |
| • | Windows will complete the installation in few seconds, a new hardware named Smartkey will be installed and enabled |
